District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Dhubri, Golakganj was established on 3rd of august 1995 at Golakganj, of Dhubri district. This Institute of Education & Training (DIET) under the privilege and purview of New Education Policy, 1986 as a third phase DIET in the State of Assam, India.

DIET Dhubri has been conducting workshops, long term and short term training programmes, academic support to the schools, research and studies, extension support to SSA, SCERT, Text book and other learning materials development etc. at present. After having a good infrastructure along with staff and proper guidance, this DIET will certainly work more vigorously for the betterment of the teacher and students of both elementary and secondary level.

In addition, DIET Dhubri is actively involved in community outreach, promoting education awareness and local development through programs and engagement with local communities.

The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Dhubri is a premier institution affiliated with Gauhati University and recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), India.
